Course/Training offered
The institute offers training to I.A.S aspirants to appear for the UPSC examination for Civil Services.

Eligibility – A Degree in any subject.
Mode of Selection
Candidates have to undergo an entrance test in General Studies (+2 standard) to be held by the Institute on the model of the UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination The Total marks for the entrance Examination is 150. Out of the total 150 marks 130 marks will be set apart for written examination which includes negative marks. 10 mark each for academic proficiency in UG level and PG level as per the academic weightage. 
Centres of Examination: Pre Examination Training Centers at (1) Ernakulam, (2) Palakkad, and (3) Kozhikode and University College, Thiruvananthapuram.

Number of Seats.

Out of the 30 seats 18 is reserved for SC, 9 for ST and 3 for Other Castes. Out of the SC seats 3 seats are earmarked for SC candidates belong to out side State. The three seats for other Castes are allotted to OEC (I seat) OBC (1) and General Category (1) on the basis of KPCR/Income.

Schedule for Admission :

Date of Notification: First Week of May
Last date of receiving Application: Last working day of May.
Date of Examination: Fourth week of June.
Age and Qualification: As prescribed by UPSC from time to time.

Conditions of Training

The selected students will have to execute a bond in the following format:
Re-admission

Re admission may be given to three candidates (2 SC and 1 ST) only after publication of results of the Preliminary Examination on the basis of the performance in the Preliminary Examination. The Principal shall prepare the select list of candidates on the basis of marks secured in the class test during their coaching in this Institute from among those with a minimum 75% of attendance.
